New DC-DC converter series feature super wide 10:1 input range of 200-1500VDC for powering Photovoltaic Systems

October 12, 2016 – Montreal, Canada – Aimtec adds additional series to their line of photovoltaic converters. The new series include the AM10WM-NZ, AM15WN-NZ and AM40W-NZ series of 10, 15 and 40 watt power supplies. Features include a super wide 10:1 input with a voltage range of 100-1500VDC across 3 separate ranges and 22 different products.  They also feature a regulated output signal with a high input to output isolation of 4000VAC which is tested over a 60 seconds cycle during manufacturing.

Supporting different Nominal input voltage levels of 200, 600, 800 or 1500VDC, these series convert to single output voltages of 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC. The series operate within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 70°C or -25°C to 70°C to work under different environmental conditions based on the application specifics. These series are designed particularly to meet the solar energy conversion into DC electricity requirements for photovoltaic power generation and high-voltage Inverters.

These new models are available in several encapsulated packages of varying dimensions for PCB mounting, chassis and DIN Rail mounting and feature over voltage and over current output protection, continuous short circuit protection, input under voltage lockout, reversed connection protection and start up in a maximum of 2 second with no output load required.
