Safety and Standards
What is RoHS?
The member states of the European Union issued a law, referred to as Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EU, restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment manufactured and/or sold within the EU. This Directive requires that all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) sold within the EU be free of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenly ethers (PBDE).
The goal of this Directive is to protect human health, animal health and the environment from the risks associated with these substances.
Aimtec Products are RoHS Compliant
Aimtec is fully committed to the RoHS initiative and to supporting its clients’ efforts in producing end products that are safer for humans, animals and the environment overall.
The company is pleased to confirm that ALL the power supplies it currently manufactures are available with test reports confirming RoHS Compliance. We are proud to have achieved full compliance with RoHS manufacturing specifications almost 12 months in advance of the July 1, 2006 deadline.
Please refer to our RoHS Application Note for information relating to the RoHS product usage.
To simplify identification and differentiation between RoHS and non-RoHS compliant products, Aimtec has added the letter “Z” to the end of part numbers and Pb-free markings to the packaging of all of its RoHS compliant products.
